In the future, Sentinel will be able to send notifications about votes, but this will only become relevant once governance has been fully transferred to the validator community. This feature may be integrated into the system at a later date, so it should not be expected at this time. The purpose of these notifications would be to ensure that validators are informed of decision points in a timely manner.
Fully opening up the validator role to market participants will also be ideal after the transfer of governance. This means that, for the time being, the internal community will handle decision-making, and the opportunity will only be opened up to external market participants at a later stage. The recommended approach is to first ensure that validators receive appropriate training. This will be followed by the transfer of governance and the strengthening of community-based decision-making. Training and preparation are essential because the transfer of governance entails responsibility and should only be entrusted to a well-prepared community. The validator community can decide on subsequent conditions, allowing for flexible adaptation of the rules.
Important questions also arise regarding transaction fees. If fees appear too high due to a rise in the Mosaic Coin exchange rate, the validator community can decide to adjust them. This flexibility ensures that fees always align with market conditions and do not become an excessive burden on users. At the same time, introducing an automatic mechanism is not currently recommended, as it could entail additional risks. An automatic fee-setting system may not always handle market anomalies well and could cause unexpected side effects. Community-based decision-making may be suitable for flexible responses, so this approach is worth pursuing.
