We’ve been featured on XDA, and Beta6 is here!
MosaicOS has had an eventful few days: it’s now officially available on XDA. This is an important step for the project, as XDA is one of the world’s best-known Android developer communities, where users and developers can more easily learn about, try out, and follow the development of MosaicOS.

However, that’s not the only news. MosaicOS Beta6 has also arrived, bringing numerous new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
Newly Supported Device
With Beta6, the Google Pixel 10a is now officially supported, so users can enjoy MosaicOS’s privacy and security features on yet another device. Beta6 comes with the new Android 17 bootloader. This is important because users who have since updated to GrapheneOS or another system can more easily switch back to MosaicOS without encountering compatibility issues. The entire system has also received the latest GrapheneOS security updates from June 2026, so we continue to provide up-to-date protection against known vulnerabilities. This is our last system based on Android 16; Beta7 will run on Android 17.
An Even More User-Friendly Interface
We’ve also put a lot of work into the user experience. From now on, the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen (the “capsule”) is fully customizable: you can even hide it or adjust its size, so everyone can tailor the appearance to their own needs. The appearance of the Wi-Fi toggle has also changed; the new design better matches the style of the system’s updated icons. Of course, its functionality remains the same – you can still turn Wi-Fi and mobile data on or off individually with a single tap. In addition, a new data toggle has been introduced, which allows you to switch which SIM card is used for mobile data with a single tap when using multiple SIM cards. We are currently testing this feature.
More Secure Sharing Across User Profiles
One of MosaicOS’s most important features is support for multiple user profiles, allowing you to choose between, for example, work, personal, or even banking environments. In Beta6, the global clipboard is now available as a quick setting. This gives you greater control over when to share text or copied content between different profiles.
New features on the home screen
The built-in launcher has also been enhanced with new features. You can now double-tap an empty area on the home screen to immediately lock the phone (double-tap to sleep). In addition, you can now rotate the home screen, which can be especially useful when using the phone in landscape mode.
Important Bug Fixes
We’ve fixed several bugs reported by the community.
Among other things:
- we fixed an issue with scanning Revolut QR codes;
- we resolved a bug with the dark theme that wasn’t working properly in certain user profiles;
- we improved the handling of custom fonts;
- updated the installation wizard;
- fixed the display of the dialer’s call history;
- and resolved several bugs in the messaging interface.
In addition, minor performance optimizations, app updates, and translation fixes have been incorporated into the system.
