AssetHub is a key component of the Polkadot ecosystem, where standardized crypto assets such as USDC and USDT are available. This infrastructure is important for Mosaic because it facilitates connections between the outside world, centralized exchanges, and the Mosaic Chain. Liquidity and asset interoperability are fundamental prerequisites for an ecosystem to function.
At the same time, the Polkadot ecosystem is undergoing a significant transformation, which has created additional development challenges. While these changes are beyond our control, they do have an impact on the Mosaic Chain and our planned integrations. We are closely monitoring these changes and adapting our own development efforts to ensure they move in the best possible direction.
It is important to emphasize that Mosaic Chain was designed to be a standalone blockchain. For now, leaving the Polkadot ecosystem is not the goal. This is a deliberate decision, as Polkadot’s technology and community remain relevant at this time. At the same time, from both a technological and business perspective, we have Plan B and Plan C in place in case the environment changes for the worse. This is not a panic reaction, but rather responsible planning.
We are currently exploring another ecosystem that uses Substrate technology, which could facilitate a potential future integration. This means we’re open to other possibilities, but we’re not making any hasty decisions. The mapping phase does not yet represent a commitment; it simply means we’re evaluating the possible options.
Overall, our future plans are flexible yet stable: we will preserve Mosaic Chain’s independence while remaining prepared for changes in the environment. This approach ensures that the project will not be at the mercy of decisions made by any single ecosystem.
