Another week, another round of progress for Mosaic Chain! Here’s a transparent look at what our development team has been working on, the ongoing improvements, and what’s coming up next.
What We Worked on This Week (Dec. 8-12)
Temporary Reduction of Slashing Rate
We’ve temporarily reduced the slashing rate from 0.1% to 0.001%. This change helps ensure a safer environment for validators in the early days of the Mosaic Chain Mainnet, while we continue to monitor network performance.
New Internal Monitoring Tool
We’ve built an internal tool that allows us to keep a close eye on the overall health and status of the entire network. This will help us quickly identify and address any potential issues.
Validator Block Production Viewer (Testing)
A new interface is in testing that enables users to view the list of blocks produced by a specific validator. This feature will provide more transparency and insight into validator activity.
Balance History Bug Fix
We fixed a bug where the “frozen” balance was incorrectly displayed as a separate amount in the balance history. Now, it correctly reflects its inclusion within the free and on-hold balances.
Telemetry Page Enhancements
The Telemetry dashboard has been updated with new graphs and data, plus several bug fixes for a smoother experience.
Relay Chain Sync Investigation
We’re investigating cases where the Polkadot relay chain falls behind on certain machines, aiming for a seamless network experience.
Indexer Bug Fixes
Continued efforts have gone into resolving issues with the Indexer to ensure accurate and up-to-date data across the network.
What’s Next (Dec. 15-19)
Task Completion Focus
Next week, our primary goal is to wrap up the tasks we’ve started for the year.
Ongoing Bug Fixes
We’ll continue working on bug fixes and platform stability enhancements.
Current Stats & Upcoming Schedule
Validator Onboarding
To date, 1,771 validators have completed the full onboarding process, with 1,683 currently active on the network. Thank you to everyone contributing to the security and decentralization of Mosaic Chain!
Holiday Development Break
There will be a development break during the holiday period, from December 20th to January 4th. Our team will return in January, recharged and ready to continue building.
Stay tuned for more updates!
