This week, our development efforts focused on improving the robustness, security, and usability of the Mosaic Chain infrastructure across Mainnet and DevNet.
What we worked on this week (Nov. 10-14)
Mainnet Minting Service data migration from Snapshot:
We completed the data upload for the Mainnet Minting Service based on the latest Snapshot. This is a key step towards a fully operational Mosaic Chain Mainnet.
Indexer code audit and bug fixes:
The team continued auditing the Indexer codebase and addressed several issues identified during the review. These fixes improve the accuracy and reliability of data indexing.
Improved validator setup experience:
The setup-validator tool now notifies operators if a chosen validator name is already in use on the VPN network. This prevents naming conflicts and simplifies the onboarding process for new validators.
Infrastructure automation:
We made further progress on automating our infrastructure management. This will help us scale more efficiently, reduce manual intervention, and improve overall system reliability.
Faster Explorer on DevNet:
The Explorer now loads faster on DevNet, resulting in a smoother experience when monitoring blocks, transactions, and network activity during development and testing.
Governance pages development:
Work continued on the Governance pages, which will serve as a key interface for on-chain decision-making and community participation in the Mosaic ecosystem.
Security improvements:
We implemented additional security enhancements across our systems to further strengthen the resilience of the network and supporting services.
What we’re planning for next week (Nov. 17-21)
Looking ahead to next week, our focus will be on deepening reliability and expanding tooling around validators and governance:
Further Indexer code audit and fixes:
We will continue the Indexer audit and address any remaining issues to ensure stable, high-quality data.
Finalizing the Sentinel application:
We plan to finalize the Sentinel application, which will allow validators to receive email notifications whenever their validator status changes. This tool is designed to help validators react quickly to potential issues and maintain high uptime.
Ongoing Governance pages development:
Development of the Governance pages will continue, bringing us closer to a fully functional governance interface for proposals, voting, and decisions.
Current project status
Mainnet Minting Service:
The Mainnet Minting Service is currently in the testing phase. Once testing is completed and no critical issues are found, it will be prepared for deployment.
