Welcome to another edition of our weekly developer update! Our development team has been hard at work this week, making significant progress across multiple fronts of the Mosaic Chain ecosystem. Here’s what we’ve accomplished and what’s coming next.
This Week’s Achievements (July 21-25)
Staking Interface Development
Our team continued advancing the Staking interface, bringing us closer to a seamless staking experience for our community.
Relay Chain Storage Optimization
We’ve been working diligently on reducing the storage requirements of the Relay chain. This optimization will improve overall network efficiency and reduce the computational burden on validators and nodes.
Critical Bug Fixes
Our development team addressed several important issues this week:
- Internet Connection Sync Bug: Fixed a critical issue where network interruptions during synchronization would incorrectly mark the sync process as complete.
- Validator Dashboard TOTP Issue: Resolved a bug preventing users from proceeding after entering their TOTP code on the Validator dashboard login page, ensuring smooth access to validator tools.
- Indexer CPU Optimization: Addressed excessive CPU usage during Indexer synchronization that was unnecessarily straining processors and potentially slowing down chain synchronization for some users.
DevNet Stability Improvements
Following last week’s DevNet outage, we identified that some users didn’t automatically receive the necessary fixes. Our team proactively addressed this issue early in the week, ensuring all users have the updated components.
Next Week’s Roadmap (July 28 – August 1)
Priority Development Tasks
- Staking Interface Finalization: We’ll be completing and finalizing the Staking interface to prepare it for broader deployment.
- Continued Relay Chain Optimization: Further progress on reducing storage requirements.
- Bug Fix Deployment: Early week release of all the fixes mentioned above.
Enhanced Performance Features
- Indexer Staking Data Storage: Implementation of staking-related data storage in the Indexer to significantly improve Staking interface loading speeds.
- TMOS Faucet Interface: We plan to make the TMOS distribution Faucet interface available to users, enhancing accessibility to test tokens.
Important Updates & Future Plans
New Release Strategy
We’ve restructured our update release strategy this week. Moving forward, updates will be released on Mondays, which means users can expect bug fixes to be available by Wednesdays (after the standard 24-hour deployment period).
Upcoming Schedule Note
Please note that during the week of August 4-8, a significant portion of our development team will be on vacation. While development will continue, expect reduced progress during this period.
