Welcome to this week’s Mosaic Chain developer status update. Below is a quick overview of what the team worked on this week, followed by what we’re planning to move forward with next week.
This week’s progress (May 4–May 8)
Mainnet — switched to Coretime
We migrated the mainnet to Coretime usage.
Transaction fees — paying with external tokens (in progress)
We continued work on enabling transaction fee payment using external (non-native) tokens. The goal is to make the chain more flexible for users and future apps that operate with multiple assets.
Teleport UX — implementation progress
We made further progress implementing the user interface for Teleporting assets.
Indexer — user assets + cross-chain operations (XCM)
We continued indexing user assets and also pushed forward with indexing cross-chain operations (XCM), improving visibility into what’s happening across chains and assets.
Session metrics — tracking MOS liquidity pool prices on AssetHub
In session-metrics, we now track the prices of MOS-containing liquidity pools on AssetHub.
Infrastructure — fleet-wide security updates
We performed general updates across all infrastructure machines to mitigate risk from a newly discovered Linux vulnerability.
Next week’s focus (May 11–May 15)
Teleport + swap UX — finalize the interface
We’ll finish the UI work needed for Teleport and swapping so these flows are complete and ready for broader testing.
User assets — indexing + display
We’ll continue indexing user assets and displaying them in the interface.
XCM — indexing continuation
We’ll keep progressing on indexing cross-chain (XCM) operations.
Democracy — make the interface available
We’ll work on making the Democracy UI accessible so governance actions are easier to view and participate in.
External-token fee payments — testing
We’ll start testing transaction fee payment in external tokens.
