Welcome back to our weekly developer update, where we share the latest progress on Mosaic Chain. Even during this short week (Apr 22–25), the team worked steadily on improvements across the stack. Let’s dive into what’s been completed and what’s coming next.
What we’ve completed this week
NFT image storage system implemented
We’ve completed the system that stores NFT image metadata. The images won’t be visible just yet, but the storage infrastructure is now in place.

Security code input now smarter
Users no longer need to re-enter their verification code within a short time period. This streamlines the user experience without compromising security.

Balance naming standardized across the system
We’ve unified the naming conventions for all balance types:
free, frozen, on hold, spendable, untouchable, total
Frontend update coming soon
Bug fixes and performance improvements
- Fixed an issue where the explorer connected to the chain twice
- Accelerated specific queries within the indexer
- Resolved a bug causing duplicate transaction entries
- Fixed duplicate rows in the balance history
- Machines missing essential components are no longer shown as validator options
What we’re working on next (Apr 28–30)
Validator OS installer stability improvements
We will improve the stability of the Validator OS installer by including the most important files needed for the installation directly within the installer, so that if there is congestion at the given service provider, it will only minimally affect the installation.
Final testing before devnet onboarding
We’ll carry out our final testing steps before launching the devnet onboarding process.
Current status and roadmap
- Validator OS release date: May 6
- This release will allow Validator NFT holders to join the devnet.
- Mainnet launch: Still on track
- We’re anticipating new feedback, feature requests, and bug reports after devnet onboarding begins.
