This week brought us another set of significant developments across the Mosaic Chain infrastructure. Our focus remained on strengthening transaction handling, monitoring capabilities, and preparing for devnet onboarding—all while pushing ahead with stability improvements and bug fixes.
What we worked on this week (Apr 14–18)
Introduced a new fork-aware transaction submission mechanism
This upgrade makes transaction handling more stable across the network and was a key prerequisite for kicking off devnet onboarding.
Completed the first internal version of our Telemetry monitoring system
This internal tool displays essential machine-level data, allowing us to detect and resolve potential network issues more efficiently.
Features completed but still under testing (visible only on testnet)
Automatic transaction resubmission for web-based submissions
We added an automated resubmission mechanism to further increase reliability for browser-based transactions.
Explorer now shows wallet affiliation
When an account is linked to an integrated wallet, it is now indicated clearly in the Explorer interface.
Improved validator chilling feedback
Validators now get more accurate time estimates and clear indicators when a machine is safe to shut down without triggering slashing.
Sync status on the validator admin interface
The dashboard now displays whether the validator has finished syncing, helping users to detect outdated data.
Bug fixes
- Address formatting now consistent across components (replaced old 5-prefixed format with the new 1-prefixed format)
- Fixed layout flickering on the homepage during new block production
- Fixed missing links in the NFT history list
Coming up next week (Apr 21–25)
- Finalize the NFT image data system: Images won’t yet be visible in Explorer, but metadata storage will begin.
- Standardize balance labels across all components (Explorer, Indexer, Blockchain)
- Initiate contact with Subwallet to begin integration of Mosaic Chain into their wallet
- Reduce excessive storage used by warp sync on validator machines when connecting to the Relay Chain
- Indexer bug fixes:
- Pending transactions growing indefinitely
- Slow searches when there are no matches
- Certain events missing from historical data
- Roll out further system optimizations and performance enhancements
Current state and roadmap
- Once the NFT image system is complete, all known bugs are resolved, and internal testing is finalized, we’ll initiate devnet onboarding.
- We’ve defined the mainnet-critical tasks, helping us align development priorities and prepare for a successful mainnet launch.
- All the listed tasks are essential for the mainnet rollout and actively contribute to its timely delivery.
We thank our community and partners for their continued support as we move closer to launch. Stay tuned for next week’s update and follow our progress on Telegram.
