Welcome to this week’s Mosaic Chain developer status update. Below is a quick overview of what the team worked on this week, followed by what we’re planning to move forward with next week.
This week’s progress (Mar. 16–20)
Democracy app
We worked on the Democracy application that lets users create votes. This is part of making governance-style actions more accessible.
Polkadot SDK: upgraded to the latest stable
We updated our Polkadot SDK to the newest stable version to stay aligned with upstream improvements and keep our base stack updated.
Revive pallet: integration work (smart contracts support)
We continued working on integrating the Revive pallet, which is a key step toward enabling smart contract support on Mosaic Chain.
Validator Dashboard: validator machine restarts
We worked on restarting validator machines from within the Validator Dashboard — improving operational workflows and making node management smoother.
Developer documentation: in progress
We spent time creating developer documentation to make it easier for builders to understand the system.
Dev tooling: auto-generated documentation
We also worked on a developer tool that automatically generates documentation — helping keep docs up-to-date and reducing manual overhead.
Next week’s focus (Mar. 23–27)
Revive pallet: integration continued
We’ll keep pushing forward with the Revive pallet integration work.
Developer documentation: continued
We’ll continue expanding the developer documentation.
Democracy app: finish + testing
We’ll focus on completing the Democracy application and running thorough testing to validate the full flow.
Validator restart: UI integration
We’ll integrate the validator machine restart functionality directly into the interface for a smoother validator experience.
Current status / notes
Devnet: multiple updates shipped
This week, multiple new updates were deployed to Devnet.
Coretime: current Devnet slot expires Thursday 9:00 PM
The current Coretime slot on Devnet will expire on Thursday at 9:00 PM, so we’ll be working on Coretime-related tasks on Friday.
