Development Highlights This Week (March 10-14)
Indexer Enhancements
While no significant changes were introduced to the Indexer this week, we continued working on various optimizations, testing, and bug fixes. These improvements do not impact the ongoing devnet onboarding process.
Devnet Onboarding
The team dedicated a substantial portion of the week to testing and refining the devnet onboarding process. Addressing potential issues early on ensures a smoother experience for future participants.
Validator OS 2.0
A major milestone was reached with the completion of Validator OS 2.0. Development and testing have been finalized, marking a significant step forward in optimizing the validator infrastructure for enhanced stability and performance.
Plans for Next Week (March 17-21)
Looking ahead, our team will focus on several critical areas:
Devnet Onboarding: Continued testing and refinements to address any issues arising during the onboarding process (if necessary).
Indexer Improvements: Prioritizing further optimizations and testing to enhance efficiency.
User Interface (UI) Review: A comprehensive review of the entire UI will be conducted, with necessary adjustments made to improve clarity and user experience.
Chain Development: Active efforts will begin to find a resolution for a Substrate bug affecting the mainnet.
Current Status and Key Considerations
Polkadot Substrate Bug: The ongoing Substrate bug remains unresolved, and we have yet to receive a response from the Polkadot community regarding our inquiries.
Sysadmin Recruitment: We have identified two highly promising system administrator candidates, with plans to onboard one of them soon.
Project Timelines: Despite a delay in the devnet onboarding due to its later-than-anticipated launch, the mainnet launch remains on schedule and unaffected.
