Another week of dedicated development and improvements is behind us as we continue refining the Mosaic Chain. Despite facing some limitations in capacity and a higher-than-expected volume of bug fixes, our team remains committed to delivering a seamless experience. Here’s what we’ve accomplished and what’s coming next.
Progress This Week (March 3-7)
Onboarding Process: We conducted multiple rounds of internal testing for the onboarding process. These tests revealed several issues, which we worked diligently to fix.
Indexer Improvements: Continued debugging and optimization efforts were implemented.
User Interface (UI) Enhancements: Further developments were made on the platform’s UI.
Chain Development: We updated the Substrate SDK to align with the latest changes.
Plans for Next Week (March 10-14)
Onboarding Fixes & Improvements: We will address the issues identified during internal testing to ensure a smooth onboarding experience on Devnet. Our primary focus is to make the onboarding process fully functional as soon as possible.
Indexer Optimization: Ongoing improvements, testing, and bug fixes will continue. These updates do not directly impact the Devnet onboarding process.
UI Development: Once Devnet onboarding is completed, we will begin creating mockups for staking, delegation, and vesting interfaces.
Blockchain Updates: As the Substrate SDK continues to evolve, we will stay up to date with the latest changes. These updates do not affect Devnet onboarding.
Validator OS Enhancements: Additional refinements are being made in preparation for the mainnet release. These updates do not impact Devnet onboarding.
Current Status & Challenges
- Due to unforeseen factors and the need for extensive bug fixes, we had to delay the Devnet onboarding process by one week.
- A known bug in Substrate (Polkadot) remains unresolved, as we have yet to receive a response from the community.
- Despite the delayed Devnet onboarding, our mainnet launch schedule remains unaffected.
