Welcome to this week’s update on Mosaic Chain’s progress. Our team has worked hard on various fronts to bring our vision closer to reality. Here’s what we’ve accomplished this week and our plans for the coming days.
Highlights of This Week (January 20–24, 2025)
Devnet Launched on Polkadot Paseo Dev Network
- We successfully launched the devnet, which is now connected to the Polkadot Paseo Dev network. Although the URL is not yet accessible, block production has already begun and is functioning as expected.
- The URL enabling external visibility is expected to be finalized soon (potentially today).
Improvements and Testing for Indexer 2.0
- Continued refining the Indexer 2.0 and focused on writing comprehensive tests to ensure its robustness and reliability.
Completion of Devnet Infrastructure
- The foundational infrastructure for the devnet is fully operational.
UI Development Progress
- Continued working on UI enhancements identified during the December review. While the priorities remain the same, steady progress is being made.
Plans for Next Week (January 27–31, 2025)
Advancing Devnet Infrastructure
- We aim to achieve 100% monitoring coverage for the devnet, ensuring stability and security.
- Begin implementing additional security measures to further enhance the devnet’s stability.
Finalizing Devnet URL
- If pending issues are not resolved by today, we’ll address any minor bugs to finalize the devnet’s URL, making it publicly accessible.
Performance Optimization for Indexer 2.0
- Continue optimizing performance and writing tests to enhance the indexer’s efficiency.
UI Development and Design Updates
- Progress the development of UI components, focusing on onboarding interface designs to improve user experience.
Validator OS 2.0 Preparation
- Advance preparations for the Validator OS 2.0 onboarding process.
Current Status and Key Updates
Devnet Launched
- The devnet is live, with block production underway and infrastructure fully operational. The release of the URL will be resolved shortly.
Validator Onboarding Timeline
- Due to the focus on devnet launch, the Validator OS onboarding process will likely experience a slight delay. Originally planned for February 1, it is now projected to be ready 1–2 weeks later. However, this does not affect the mainnet timeline.
