As part of our commitment to transparency and continuous progress, here is a detailed overview of this week’s advancements and upcoming goals for the Mosaic Chain project.
Progress from January 13–17
Indexer 2.0 Performance Improvements
Our team continued to focus on enhancing the performance of the Indexer 2.0. During this process, we identified areas for improvement and devoted most of the week to resolving these issues. These fixes aim to optimize indexing performance and improve overall system efficiency.
Devnet Finalization and Security Enhancements
We made significant strides toward finalizing the devnet. However, additional security checks and validations were necessary to prevent potential issues, such as network spamming. Addressing these concerns took precedence, ensuring the devnet operates reliably and securely upon launch.
Devnet Infrastructure Setup
The infrastructure for the devnet is nearing completion. Following consultations with an external sysadmin expert, we identified and implemented some adjustments to the system. While these modifications caused slight delays, they were essential to ensuring a robust setup. As of now, the infrastructure is close to being finalized.
UI Development
UI development progressed steadily, following the assessments conducted in late December.
Goals for January 20–24
Devnet Infrastructure Completion and Launch
Our primary goal for the upcoming week is to finalize the devnet infrastructure and successfully launch it. If everything proceeds as planned, the devnet should be live by midweek. However, we will not proceed until we are confident in its stability.
Indexer 2.0 Refinements
We aim to complete the remaining bug fixes in Indexer 2.0 and advance further with performance optimizations.
UI Enhancements
UI development will continue, with a particular focus on designing onboarding interfaces to provide users with a seamless experience.
Validator OS 2.0 Preparations
Our team will advance preparations for Validator OS 2.0, ensuring the system is ready for onboarding validators efficiently and securely.
Current Status and Plans
- Devnet Launch: The devnet is expected to launch by midweek next week (Jan. 20-24), but only after passing stringent stability tests.
- Code Audits: We engaged a blockchain specialist auditing firm to review the chain’s codebase. Any issues they identify will be addressed promptly to maintain the highest standards of security and reliability.
- Mainnet Timeline: Currently, there are no indications that the mainnet launch will be delayed.
