New challenges and tasks facing the banking sector took center stage on April 29 at the Párisi Udvar Hotel in Budapest. Among others, OTP Bank, Opten, Microsoft, and PONT Systems were represented at the dBanking 2026 – AI BANKING REVOLUTION conference.
In his presentation, Attila Vidákovics, founder of Dlabs, introduced our Mosaic Trust Network development. He primarily outlined a potential future use case in which banks would take on a new role, becoming trusted service providers. The bank would hold all of an individual’s data, and various service providers would not have direct access to individuals’ data; instead, they would receive a certificate from the bank confirming that the individual meets the specified criteria. All of this would result in less data transfer; unnecessary data would not reach service providers, so this new concept would also lead to fewer data leaks.
The bank could emerge as a trusted service provider; if the market trusts the bank, administrative processes would become easier. This could strengthen the market role of traditional banks in a world where neobanks and various fintech solutions are currently taking center stage.
The event, attended by 100–150 people, provided opportunities for one-on-one discussions and featured extensive discussion of the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, data management, and the transformation of the banking sector.
